Mercatus is excited to welcome Kate Vrancken to its growing team. Kate comes to Mercatus from FIS, bringing over her years of experience in private markets and account management. Ali Mamujee, VP of Product Marketing, recently sat with Kate to learn more about her new role, what brought her to Mercatus, and her thoughts on the future of the private market technology.
What is your role at Mercatus?
I see my role as working with all the existing teams and resources at Mercatus to form a more cohesive story for our clients. Making sure we fully understand the clients’ problems and working together to best solve them.
What is your background / story?
I briefly worked in the weeds onboarding Private Equity clients to a managed service platform. This helped me parlay my experience into account management with private equity clients where I learned from them every day.
In your past role(s) what are some unmet needs from private market investors around data management technology?
Clients were always looking for a modern technology that unites all their data in an easy meaningful way. Mercatus is the first one that looks like it could be the answer.
How do you see private market technology evolving over the next decade?
I think we are seeing a huge focus on data collection and analysis, not just in this industry but the whole world. People will want more information at a higher frequency.
What excites you about Mercatus?
The team, the technology, and the untapped potential.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Free Falling by Tom Petty.
